The optimal configuration for your cabinets is of course active 2-way. DSP 260 Controller and a separate low-amp (i.e. S1200) and high-amp (i.e. S900), crossover frequency i.e. 100 Hz.
A cheap and economic solution is the parallel mode (incl. power-max crossover) and driven by an amp like S1200 or PowerMate.
Another, not so cheap, but my prefered solution is the combination with 2x Xa4000 (complete 2-way amp with low- and high-amp and crossover)
