    You pulled that formula out of your head? Hell,...
    No not really! If I ever come this far please nominate me for a Nobelprice (maths will do ).
    No, I printed your drawing and broke it up into a composition of rectangular triangles... these easily convert into maths .
    Beware! To touch these wires is instant death. Anyone found doing so will be prosecuted.

      in our math example you forget that the bridel won't move, due to exact matching vertical forces.

        Ok, ******** so it works!
        If you give a height (H) of 6 the brideangle becomes 90 degrees
        If you give a height (H) of 7 the brideangle becomes 106 degrees
        So my 6.61 for 100 degrees brideangle will indeed be correct.

            I would be most interested in your drawings of how you got the formula. Could you post them here on forum?
            I am still trying to understand HOW did you deduced that formula.

            edit: I made debugging version of calculator already. You enter v1, v2, h1, h2.
            Than you can choose to enter either trim height OR bridle angle. In picture bellow I entered bridle angle - the formula I got from Laserguy, and it works. Below are calculated forces.

              Dear Grom,

              no problem! I will ask my girlfriend to scan it in... I must warn you: my handwriting is miserable . When she has finished her translationwork I can use her scanner (mine is used as support for my screen...).
              So hold on...

                      and no, my software is not working on smart phones, only on touch screeners, windows mobile 2003, 5 and 6. And on desktop computers, of course, where it all started.
