HES ColorCommand Wins Top Lighting Award

High End Systems' ColorCommandTM fixture recently took home a Lighting Product of the Year award at the First Produccion Audio Awards' show in Madrid, Spain. The dichroic color-changing PAR/washlight was deemed "truly innovative" by a jury made up of professional lighting designers. The awards were presented Nov. 4 during the Broadcast 2003 trade show.

Ramón Setien of Pro Lighting, a High End Systems distributor in Spain, accepted the award from Oscar Gallardo, a renowned lighting designer in Spain.

Lighting professionals on the jury included Jose Luis Canales, head of lighting at the Teatro Real in Madrid; Daniel Bianco, head of technology at the Teatro Real; and José Luis Alonso, head of technology at the Centro Dramático Nacional.

The award show was presented by Produccion Professional, a trade publication for the professional sound, lighting and broadcast market in Spain. Editor Marco Odasso says this first annual event drew primarily from their region, with a good attendance from Portugal and some other nearby European countries
