Misschien een goede techneut die naar het totaal-resultaat luistert?
En over je vraag tijdens SIM-seminar. Daar heb ik in totaal andere setting het volgende op gehoord van een (hele) oude rot in het vak:
If you have a system that is sounding nice on its own, but combined with the acoustics or certain instruments there are dips or peaks at certain frequencies ... with one instrument the sounds really fantastic and with others not. If you correct the less sounding instruments on your channel EQ you change the phase relationship between the instruments. This way you can create layers or depth in the mix, so you can bring one sound to the front and another to the back without having to do a lot with levels.
If you correct on your FOH EQ all instruments have a fixed phase relationship, so all instruments are in the same audio-layer. This way it is very hard to create that depth "
