Muziek automatisch zachter

Hallo,

Ik heb via de zoekfunctie al wat geprobeerd, maar kwam er niet achter..
Ik zit met een vraag, als je bijvoorbeeld bij wielrenronde's bent en de microfonist praat, gaat de muziek automatisch zachter.

Wie o wie kan me helpen en mij vertellen wat je hiervoor nodig hebt?

Compressor met sidechain?

Groepje van de microfoons maken en groepje van muziek maken, het groepje muziek door de compressor heen en groepje microfoons als sidechain gebruiken. Lange releasetijd op de compressor en het zou volgens mij moeten werken.

Bij sommige mixers staat die functie er standaard op, het noemt "talkover" als dit niet op je mixer staat is de oplossing zoals beschreven door RenéE jou ding.

Dan ga ik denk ik maar opzoek naar een mixer met automatische talkover, want wat RenéE beschrijft, snap ik zelf hellaas niet zo veel van, ben nog niet zo ver.

Vaak kom je dan de DJ mixers tegen.
De grote tafels vind je volgens mij niet altijd een Auto Talkover op.

Dit wordt ook wel een "ducker" of audio-ducking genoemd.
Zie het volgende stukje tekst (gevonden via google, welliswaar in het engels) waarin het principe wordt uitgelegd van een "ducker".

Het effect is trouwens ook te bereiken met een gate met een "range"-functie...

AUDIO "DUCKING"
Ok....This is a cool one for all you Pirate radio owners or Bedroom DJ's.......You know when your listening to the radio, and the music's pumping' away....Then the DJ says something over the music,and as soon as he does, the backing drops in volume a little to make way for the voice......Then when they stop chatting, the music just comes up again to it's normal level.......Well this is known as ducking....and it works like this....
As I mentioned in the Compressor section, the unit listens to the incoming signal through a "Side chain" curcuit......The Side chain gives instructions to the actual compressor by the settings you make in the front panel controls......as soon as the Side chain hears the signal go over the Threshold level, it tells the Amplifier (VCA) at the input to turn down the level....
OK......lets suppose that the music backing is coming through the compressor, but.....the DJ's voice is being fed into the Sidechain........Ah...yes indeed, as soon as the compressor "hears" the DJ's/presenters voice, it turns down the incoming signal .......which is the music backing.......Here's how:
YOUR COMPRESSOR MUST HAVE SIDE-CHAIN SOCKETS ON THE BACK PANEL.....
The side chain socket allows an alternative input signal to override the main input signal for controlling the compressor...NOT....as the signal to be processed.
OK ......first with a mono music signal.....

Bring the backing music into the Main Input...
Bring a send from the DJ's voice into the Side-chain Socket.....
Set the compressor to fast attack, short/auto release, & ratio about 3 or 4 to 1...in soft knee mode (if you have option)...
Set the music running, and get the DJ to chat ...repeating phrases of a few seconds, & leaving spaces of a few seconds..
Adjust the compression ratio ...until you get a low music level you like that lets the DJ be easily heard when he speaks...
Adjust the attack & release, so as the music reduces fast enough, & returns to level at a speed you like (usually quite fast)...
Run some tests with the DJ chatting fast & furious ...leaving quick gaps here & there .....tweak the settings until it sounds just right..
Run your set !!.......
For a stereo backing signal, just do as above, but put the music thru the Left & Right channels of the compressor, and set it to "Stereo Link" mode....Then adjust the settings on the control side .......Check out which side takes control in Stereo mode, & patch the DJ's voice in to that sides Side-chain input.

Weet je wat mijn ervaring als DJ is met allerlei duckers en talkovers op mengtafels? té trage release tijd. Maar zet je de release tijd korter dan pompt hij natuurlijk tussen je stem door.

Als DJ is er maar 1 oplossing: microfoon in de hand, andere hand op de fader van het spelende kanaal, en telkens je iets zegt de fader even wegtrekken, en meteen terug omhoog duwen bij de minste pauze in je zin.

Wil je dit automatisch doen voor een bepaalde spreker ga je toch naar een compressor moeten: die zet je op de muziek, maar stuur je aan (sidechain) met de microfoons. Zo heb je een ducker of talkover. Je moet alleen wat prullen met attack en release times zodat de timing wat beter wordt.

Maar een standaard ducker op pakweg een Rodec mengtafel heeft een té lange release time (en dan praat ik over anderhalve seconde! die duurt lang als je je begint af te vragen waar de muziek blijft!). Nu, die release time hangt een beetje af van je toepassing. Wil je dit gebruiken als DJ, of entertainer, en de 'swung' van het feestje erin houden, dan is anderhalve seconde véél te lang. Maar als je bijvoorbeeld wilt zorgen dat mensen zonder kennis van geluid aankondigingen kunnen doen, terwijl de muziek automatisch stiller gaat (in de zin van 'Het buffet staat gereed u mag allemaal naar de tafels komen bla bla'), dan ga je natuurlijk een vele langere release time instellen (zelfs 2 of 3 seconden), omdat anders tussen elke pauze van de spreker de muziek komt piepen.
